OUR CHURCH BUILDING:

Our picturesque church stands nestled in the shadow of towering pines as those who enter continue to be touched by the faith found within its doors.  The building is owned by the members and is headed by Jesus Christ, Our Lord

The Union Congregational Church of Madbury, NH was organized in August 1914, with meetings held in the Town Hall.  In May 1917 it was decided that a stone church be built at its present site across Town Hall Road on land donated by Major John Demeritt and his sister, Jennie.  Construction of the church began in the spring of 1917 and was completed the following year.

In 1955 the Madbury Church became part of the United Church of Christ, expanding its area of fellowship.  Up until 1981, when the Madbury Church felt able to stand on its own, a pastor was shared with Barrington and then with Lee.  The Ladies Aid and Missionary Societies still meet annually for worship and a luncheon.
